Have you ever wondered about it? Well, tattooing gets involve into the skin.
But did you know that our skin sheds (skin cells) a lot of times? In that case, acquiring tattoo on the body, what would be the risk then? Actually, tattoo does not flake off with them gradually since tattoo gets pigment into the deeper layer of the skin rather than to the layer that gets shed. Various methods have been used to do this. In the early days of tattooing, the first model of tattooing machine is run through electricity. Basically, tattoo uses tiny needle with ink.
As a matter of fact, machines for tattooing nowadays insert tiny needles at a high frequency deep into the skin. Inserting the needle that was loaded with dye (or ink), it will reach through the epidermis. During this process, the ink will seep deep into the dermis. Whenever there is needle penetration, the body alerts since the needle will be in contact with the vessels, nerves, glands, blood vessels and the like. Inflammation will follow but an immune system cell would regenerate the wounded part. This would then make the tattoo permanent.
